Hi, I’m Dave.

Over 20 years, I’ve lived in more than 20 homes across three continents. I’ve built businesses, taken risks, made plenty of mistakes, and learned a lot along the way. I don’t have a degree or a polished origin story - just a restless curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a desire to keep growing.

For most of my life, I was in go-mode. Building companies from the ground up. Always chasing the next milestone. And while that drive opened doors, it came at a cost - my focus, my energy, and sometimes the relationships that mattered most.

I’ve always had an active mind. Teachers used to write, “David just needs to pay more attention.” And they were right. Focus didn’t come naturally, so I built my own systems - mental checklists, routines, anything to stay on track.

Eventually, I did stop. Not forever, just long enough to take a breath and realize that the way I was working… wasn’t really working.

There wasn’t one big turning point. It was a string of small wake-up calls.

Like the time I came home from work, walked through the door, and immediately checked my phone while my wife was mid-sentence. Or the time we went on a family vacation and I left my phone at home, setting my out-of-office to my wife’s number... and no one called. Turns out, most of what felt “urgent” wasn’t even important.

And then came the bigger pause, a 9-month sabbatical. Not the productive kind where you sneak in emails on the side or start a podcast. The kind where you do absolutely nothing until boredom cracks something open. I slept more. Moved my body. Spent time with people I love. Ticked off bucket list items.

Somewhere in the journey, that’s when Morning Mind Fuel started to take shape.

Not as a business idea. As a personal practice. Something simple I could do each morning to feel clear-headed, grounded, and not instantly hijacked by the chaos waiting on my phone.

Why I Created Morning Mind Fuel

I wasn’t looking for a perfectly curated morning routine or a book of motivational quotes.
I just wanted a way to start my day with clarity and intention - without overcomplicating it.

Something real. Simple. Repeatable.

When I use it, I feel grounded and effective.

When I don’t, the day gets away from me - busy, but not meaningful.

Morning Mind Fuel is the result of years of learning (and unlearning). It’s a short daily check that helps me focus on what matters and let go of what doesn’t.

We’re living in a world where intelligence is a $20 monthly subscription, and our attention is under attack. In that world, focus is the real superpower - the ability to say no to the pings and yes to what actually matters.

But it’s not something you magically wake up with.

It’s a muscle - and you’ve got to train it.

Who It’s For

It’s for the doers who want to keep doing big things - and enjoy the ride.

For high performers who want to keep winning - but not at the cost of relationships, health, or fun.

For leaders ready to stop waking up in fight-or-flight mode, and start the day on their own terms.

Not perfect.

Not spiritual guru-level.

Just more present, more intentional and a whole lot more clear.
